One adult and one child per boat.  Please register accordingly.

Reserve your time (between 3:30-7pm) in advance on the Reservation Events page then show your Kidsworld pass at the Boat Rentals for both child and adult to enjoy a 1 hour canoe or kayak experience at beautiful Deer Lake Park! 
Boaters can get a close-up look at weeping willow trees and dragon flies and enjoy a tour around the lake.

A $28 value.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and infants under 20 pounds are not allowed to go on a boat.   Parents must also sign a waiver form upon arrival.

Feel free to bring your own lifejackets and paddles, if you have them, to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid 19. Otherwise, we have all the necessary safety equipment and qualified competent staff to assist in providing you and your group with a truly amazing experience.

URBAN SAFARI RESCUE

Come explore the world of animals at Urban Safari Rescue Society. Urban Safari is a registered charity with the mission to rescue and provide sanctuary for unwanted exotic animals and education to the public about animals and the natural world. You can explore animals from around the world, animals that come from South America, Africa, Asia, Central America, Australia. Learn about insects, spiders, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. There are approximately 380 animals to see and learn about in this unique facility. Urban Safari also has a very impressive collection of mounted butterflies and other insects. Be curious - there is so much to learn.

Greater vancouver zoo zookeeper tours

45 Minute Tours Hosted Throughout the Morning By the Zoo Education Department

One tour allowed per family.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo.

Where curiosity comes alive.

Dedicated to education and conservation, the Greater Vancouver Zoo is home to many rescued, donated and orphaned animals. The mission of the Greater Vancouver Zoo is to inspire appreciation of our ecosystems and engage the community to care, share and learn about animal conservation.

 

Come on July 12th or 19th (not both days) to enjoy a unique zookeeper talk experience where a member of the zoo team will introduce you to some of our animals and share their stories.  This guided tour is 45 minutes long.  The animals visited can change but we would likely meet the rhino, giraffes, lions, tiger and jaguars.

Please note that while this exclusive Kidsworld tour is free, the entrance to the Zoo before or after the tour is not included. However we also have a bonus discount!  From July 12 onwards to the end of the year you can show your Kidsworld pass at the front gate and with each adult ticket purchase, a child gets a free entrance.

The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary has 850 acres of wetlands, marshes and low dykes that is is ideally located for or the millions of birds seeking feeding and resting areas during their annual migrations along the Pacific Coast.  It is a great place for bird watching for all ages.  In August you will see birds flying south from Alaska and the Arctic.  These birds often have specialized beaks for digging in the soft mud, and feed in outer outer shallow ponds at high tide.  With 6kms of walking trails, allow 2 hours on average for your visit.
