Come explore the world of animals at Urban Safari Rescue Society. Urban Safari is a registered charity with the mission to rescue and provide sanctuary for unwanted exotic animals and education to the public about animals and the natural world. You can explore animals from around the world, animals that come from South America, Africa, Asia, Central America, Australia. Learn about insects, spiders, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. There are approximately 380 animals to see and learn about in this unique facility. Urban Safari also has a very impressive collection of mounted butterflies and other insects. Be curious - there is so much to learn.

Each child participant will receive a small bucket of balls to practice at the driving range with.  Clubs also provided.
Support from staff on how to hit.

Parent/Chaperone supervision required.

Birdies & Buckets is the perfect place for families to golf together!  The Driving Range we will be learning to swing at has 80 stalls, hitting targets and five target greens. 

Birdies & Buckets also has a nine hold Par 3 course perfect for families.

Learn the science of crime and the history of policing at the Vancouver Police Museum & Archives, home of Vancouver’s former CSI lab! Walk through the museum's authentic historic spaces and learn about some of Vancouver's most exciting criminal cases and unsolved murder mysteries, or find out about the fascinating history of forensic science and policing in Vancouver. Our exhibits are educational, captivating, and include authentic photos, archival material and artefacts straight from the source.

Kidsworld families can join the BC Lions in the Family Zone for their game August 26th against the Saskatchewan Roughriders for only $35 for a child and adult.  Any extra adults are $25 and extra kids are $10.  Regular End Zone ticket price is $37.

This family friendly section of the stadium will also have special kid oriented opportunities.

Smithsonian Air and Space Museum Virtual Experience

Ages 8+

1-2pm

In this workshop, students will explore our Solar System and the scientific technology used to help discover and understand space. Utilizing the extraordinary digital resources from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum for a fun and educational journey across space. During this workshop, students will be asked to explore our Solar System to learn about the planets, moons, and learn about the spacecraft that travel great distances to study them while finding answers to relevant and thematic questions. In addition to building digital diagrams of the Solar System, students will also take part in fun educational activities while they complete their PowerPoint workbook. At the end of the workshop, students will have gleaned new information and knowledge of our Milky Way Galaxy while experiencing how Microsoft tools for students can help them achieve more. By the end of the workshop students will have: Taken a tour through the solar system, learning about each planet along the way. Learned about the tools astronauts use to make new discoveries, including the Mars rover and Voyager space probes. Designed their own planet using Paint 3D.
