The Evening Wet Lab Experience is a great way to engage your group, inspire curiosity and instill a sense of respect for all ocean life and its environment! This is a unique hands-on experience where your students will interact with and learn about live tidal pool sea animals from local B.C. waters and gain a first-hand insight into the inner workings of intertidal marine life. Through an inquiry approach, your group will be encouraged to explore the adaptations these animals have to thrive in their specific habitat, and what selective pressures exist in those habitats that have helped to shape these adaptations.

The Vancouver Lookout is an adventure for kids of all ages.  With our Observation Deck standing 550 feet above the city and offering amazing 360 degree views, kids will experience all Vancouver has to offer, from past, present and future.

Vancouver International Airport is North America’s number one airport.  This two-hour long tour allows you to get a firsthand look at the art, operations, and history of our airport. The program includes both a walking tour of the terminal (pre-security only) and a classroom component.  Highlights will include our globally-renowned First Nation’s art collection, environmental programs, architecture, accessibility, airport operations and travel tips.  Tours will wrap up in the Public Observation Area, which features interactive exhibits and unobstructed views of the airfield out to the Strait of Georgia.

One of Vancouver's great family events is coming up over Spring Break!  Sunday, March 29th is the 7th annual Healthy Family Expo at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This fun event for the whole family runs from 9 am to 5 pm and includes 200+ exhibitor booths offering healthy food & drink sampling, live shows, and with the special guests of Paw Patrol all included with admission.

Enjoy a 15 minute train ride past towering cedar and fir trees, over streams and ponds and through tunnels, on the world-famous Stanley Park Train. The 20 gauge, 2 kilometer track winds through the forest over ground cleared by Typhoon Freda, the most devastating storm in Vancouver history which blew through in 1962.  

Passengers can get a close-up look at a vintage engine and a quick photo before boarding for the 15 minute ride. The jewel of the Stanley Park Railway’s collection of old locomotives is a locally-built replica of Canadian Pacific Railway Engine #374, famous for pulling Canada's first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver in the late 1880s.  

Stanley Park Railway is adjacent to other popular destinations such as Lumberman’s Arch, Malkin Bowl, and the Rose Garden.

Join our Ocean Wise Children & Youth Programs team as we help keep our oceans clean through a Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Our team will provide reusable gloves, garbage pickers and buckets, but please bring your own if you have some. Our goal is to collect 50lbs of garbage and plastics before the end of our cleanup – come out and give us a hand!

Welcome to the LABsters junior golf event hosted at Northview Golf and Country Club.  We are so excited to share the game of golf with all of you and show you that learning this game can be a ton of fun.  We believe in a games based learning environment and a holistic approach to developing a well rounded athlete.  We have awesome activities set up for you to explore the many skills that make up the game of golf.  You will explore fundamental movement skills through an obstacle course.  This will test your balance, coordination, agility, object control skills and speed.  You will learn the basics of putting, chipping and full swing golf shots.  Your coaches will use different challenges and feedback to help you become more aware of your body and the golf club.  You will learn basic concepts that will allow you to begin the journey as a golfer with a way to improve yourself by using the games based approach.  Make sure you bring some big energy and a water bottle.  We will make sure to bring out your smiles.
