EcoDairy is the first demonstration farm of its kind in Canada. Offering a unique, highly interactive learning environment, the EcoDairy experience has been developed in partnership with Science World.

Come enjoy several online activities hosted by Metrotown's Microsoft Store! Please note there are six different activities throughout the month, and each activity is run twice. A child can choose two activities they would like to do. If spaces remain on the Reservation Events page the day before an event, you can sign up for it in addition to your two chosen activities.
Code your own Video Game: In this virtual workshop, students will use block coding to create a video game in MakeCode Arcade. Students will learn basic game development terms like variable, sprite, and coordinates to create a basic game of their own.
Hall of Fossils virtual tour: Travel millions of years into the past without leaving your home. Students will get to virtually tour the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History right from their web browser.

Show your Kidsworld pass on Mondays in August for complimentary entrance for your car ($10 value)
We’ve adapted our farm to give you and your family a chance to come and see our animals and enjoy a Drive-Thru experience. Visit all of our animals and take in the great views, smells, and sounds as you drive slowly around the farm and through the barn.
During your visit read along about the animals and the farm here at Eagle Acres.
This tour experience Does Not permit any guests to get out of their vehicles BUT, you can get out of your house! Our washrooms will not be available during your visit – Plan accordingly.
6 PACK INDOOR BEACH BASH
One time entrance to the per Kidsworld pass throughout the month of August on weekdays starting August 4.
Call in advance to 604-321-6800 to book a time attending. You will need to say that you are a Kidsworld member, how many people are in your group, and you phone number. Then when you arrive at the time you booked, show Your Kidsworld Pass for free entrance to drop in and do lots of activities! Your name will be crossed off the Kidsworld member list.
Come enjoy some time in the sand during the open drop in from 11am-3pm at 6 Pack Beach! There will be open free play for the kids to make sand castles, play beach volleyball, dodgeball, soccer, badminton. For kids 8 and older, you can request hoverball when calling in advance to book your time.

The Landing Dance Centre on SW Marine Drive in Vancouver is a place to grow! We are about supporting dancers and recognizing their potential both as artists and as people. Training the whole person starts with acknowledging where each individual is at, and unlocking a training path to grow their full potential. With a focus on Contemporary and Modern techniques, as well as an intention to instill a love of learning, dancers are taught how to build on their foundational training and are challenged to leave their comfort zone through class exploration and performance opportunities. On August 18th from 2-3:30PM, The Landing Dance will be opening their "virtual doors" to all Kidsworld participants for an afternoon of online Hip Hop, Jazz and Acro dancing. Let's get MOVING!

Dedicated to education and conservation, the Greater Vancouver Zoo is home to many rescued, donated and orphaned animals. The mission of the Greater Vancouver Zoo is to inspire appreciation of our ecosystems and engage the community to care, share and learn about animal conservation.
On August 18, 19, 25 and 26 there will be four 30 minute zookeeper talks featuring different animals from the zoo!

This presentation for Kidsworld families is designed to introduce your family to animals you may not have experienced before and concepts centred around animals like habitats, defence, adaptations, conservation and more. The animals you will see are exotic insects, tarantulas, lizards, snakes, turtle, tortoise, rabbit or Guinea Pig, Ferret, Sugar Glider.
Urban Safari is a registered charity with the mission to rescue and provide sanctuary for unwanted exotic animals and education to the public about animals and the natural world. During these times being closed, Urban Safari Rescue is offering these Zoom presentations, and would appreciate any donations you can make to help keep them going while closed. All money goes directly toward the care, feeding and housing of our 350 rescued exotic animals at the facility. They are a registered charity and can provide tax receipts if you ask for one. The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary has 850 acres of wetlands, marshes and low dykes that is is ideally located for or the millions of birds seeking feeding and resting areas during their annual migrations along the Pacific Coast. It is a great place for bird watching for all ages. In August you will see birds flying south from Alaska and the Arctic. These birds often have specialized beaks for digging in the soft mud, and feed in outer outer shallow ponds at high tide. With 6kms of walking trails, allow 2 hours on average for your visit. Please note the picnic area is closed due to Covid-19.
